UX/UI Design

User-Centered Design & Interface Architecture

The best interface is the one nobody notices. It just works.

User-centered design that makes complex things feel simple and beautiful things feel intuitive. This is where the sculpture background pays off: understanding form, space, proportion, and how people physically interact with objects translates directly to how they interact with screens.

The work covers everything from user research and journey mapping to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design. But the real value is in the thinking that happens before a single pixel gets placed. Understanding the user, understanding the business goals, and finding the overlap.

Deep experience designing interfaces for SaaS platforms, e-commerce, hospitality booking systems, and content-heavy editorial sites. The common thread is always the same: reduce friction, increase clarity, and make the user feel smart for choosing you.

User-centered design is not about giving people what they ask for. It is about watching what they do and designing for that instead.

Deliverables

Process

Research

Watch real users, map real journeys, find the friction. Assumptions get tested before they get expensive.

Structure

Information architecture and wireframes. The skeleton has to be right before the skin goes on.

Interface

High-fidelity UI built on a coherent design system: type, color, spacing, and components that scale.

Validation

Prototype testing with real users. The design earns its way to development by proving itself first.

Handoff

Documented systems, annotated specs, and QA support so what ships matches what was designed.

Questions

Do you work on existing products or only new builds?

Both. Many engagements start with a UX audit of an existing product, identifying friction, quick wins, and the structural fixes worth investing in.

How do you work with our developers?

Closely. Design systems are documented for the stack you actually use, specs are annotated, and QA review is part of the engagement so the shipped product matches the design.

What tools do you design in?

Figma for design and prototyping, with research and testing tooling matched to the project. But tools are tools. The thinking is the deliverable.

Project-based or embedded within a product team for a defined engagement period. Mark leads the design work personally, with development partners brought in through Web Wishery when needed.

UX audits start in the four figures. Full product design engagements typically start in the low five figures and scale with scope and platform complexity.
